Privacy and Social Media Notices

Privacy Policy

Introduction

Protecting your personal data is important to us. Our Privacy Policy notice provides important information regarding the information we collect, how we use it and what we do to keep your personal data safe. This notice applies to all deferred comp websites (modeferredcomp.org, mopocketchange.org, and mo457.org). This policy is subject to change without notice and reflects current State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan practices.

Information We Collect

From Your Employer
The State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan receives certain nonpublic personal information about you from your employer in order to provide a retirement savings benefit, financial education, account recordkeeping and investment options to you. This information includes your name, address and email address, social security number, date-of-birth, employer, employment status, gender and marital status.

From Our Website
The deferred comp plan collects data via your secure online account, Event Registration, and Google Analytics. We collect personal data directly from you when you log in to your secure online account to make updates. Some personal data, although generally not identifying information, is also collected when you register for an event via Event Registration, enroll in deferred comp Mobile Alerts, or participate in plan surveys. In addition, MO Deferred Comp uses Google Analytics and Google Analytics Advertising Features to learn who is visiting our websites, how they are using it, and what information is most useful to them. The information is used solely to help us measure and improve our online services and is used exclusively by MO Deferred Comp. To learn more about how Google collects and uses data, please visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If you don’t want Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the Google Analytics browser add-on. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy.

Information We Disclose

The plan only shares your nonpublic personal information with our partners – like our record keeper MissionSquare Retirement and email client – who help provide services to you. We also use your information to help process your account requests and transactions (i.e., providing bank account information for processing a withdrawal), create plan reports, and analyze how MO Deferred Comp resources (such as the website and plan calculators) are being used. The plan does not sell participant information to anyone.

How We Safeguard Your Information

We in partnership with the plan record keeper, MissionSquare Retirement, maintain internal policies and procedures and physical and electronic safeguards to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. We restrict access to only those persons who need to know it to provide services to you or who are permitted or required by law to receive it.
